Since I am completely switching to Makita LXT, I also wanted to test an alternative battery right away. So I physically compared a BL1850B 5AH Makita with a GC alternative also 5AH. According to the label, the data matches, both 18V 5.0AH 90W. Let's talk about the exterior. Actually, they look very similar. The GC has 5 cooling openings instead of 3, but they are slightly smaller compared to the original. The charge status can be recognized via the display, green for the GC, while Makita is red. Now for the weight: Makita 643g against GC 595g, measured with my kitchen scale. I can't say where the difference of 48g comes from, as all the batteries are brand new I won't open them. Perhaps GreenCell can make a statement about that. Maybe GC can provide me with a series of those batteries. Then I would examine and evaluate everything more closely. It shouldn't be bad for GreenCell. Unfortunately, you can't upload pictures here, or I'm just too clueless to do so. I can't say much about the capacities or other findings yet, as I will still be testing everything. The first impression of the battery is definitely very good.👌

The battery was purchased due to the high price of the original battery. It should work with a sawzall, and it does so without any issues. It does not differ in use, does not differ in capacity, and most other technical parameters, and costs less. Competitors have a problem with charging in DC18SD chargers (the so-called slow ones), this problem does not occur here. For many years, I have been sourcing batteries from this company for various applications and recommend them to my friends, e.g., for laptops (especially the PRO version). I will definitely keep buying and recommending it. 👌
