We have opened an e-bike battery factory near Krakow!

Our first factory was opened in Balice near Krakow. The Green Cell team has started with the assembly of batteries for electric bicycles, which will soon be available for purchase.

Opening our battery plant is a very important element of our long-term strategy. The investment will cost PLN 12 million, and the launch of our assembly line was possible owing to the dynamically growing revenues - they amounted to PLN 279 million in 2021 alone. The factory and the assembly process have been entirely designed by our team - which is why the plant is adapted to our needs and contributes to improving production efficiency.

From design to product

The first products to leave the Green Cell plant are the batteries for electric bicycles. GC PowerMove is a project of our R&D team - in addition, they have been entirely assembled in the facility near Krakow. Therefore, we have greater decision-making and control from the beginning of the product creation - through the design, selection of components, and installation of batteries. Each unit undergoes several demanding tests for the safety of use and highest quality.

We are just getting started!

By the end of 2022, the factory's assembly potential will amount to 50,000 batteries per year. "We would like to ensure the highest quality, create solutions from scratch, strengthen supply chains, build know-how, and further increase our presence in foreign markets," says Paweł Ochyński, CEO of Green Cell.

The batteries will be sold mainly to Western Europe - in Poland, the e-mobility market is still booming, but we want to emphasize our presence now.
