The Green Direction: Circular economy - Green Cell proves that this just might work

The Polish ecological awareness is growing year by year. The research of the Ministry of Climate and Environment: shows that every third of us declares they repair, reuse, or replace used items with each other. It is high time for companies to also show a green approach. Green Cell - an electronics and batteries producer - argues that the circular economy should, and can, be common.

What is circular economy?

The aim of circular economy is minimizing the consumption of raw materials and the amount of the waste which is generated. How do you achieve that? All you need to do is follow the five stages of a product's life cycle:

  • create,
  • use,
  • give the used-up products a second life,
  • fix,
  • recycle.

Most of these points depend on us - the users. However, you cannot overlook the role of the producers, who should support circular economy by making access to spare parts easier and making products "that will last for years".

This goal is achieved by Green Cell, who has been a source of new batteries and accumulators for mobile devices and tools for the past eight years. The company's biggest dream is achieving sustainable development which will not mean satisfying our own needs at the expense of the future generations and which will not contribute to the destruction of our planet.

Green Cell advises on the ways in which you can make circular economy more common

Following circular economy principles is not always easy to do. However, Green Cell proves that this is possible even in the case of a technological company.

  1. Create - Green Cell opposes deliberately lowering the quality and producing devices which are not durable. The producer is constantly developing its range of professional proprietary products, which are distinguished by their reliability and dependability. The Green Cell projects are prepared in the company office located in Cracow, and the specialists work out each and every detail before sending a scheme to production.

  2. Use - The producer is aware that not everybody is an expert in the field of consumer electronics. Green Cell customers have access to nearly 60 specialists using the most popular languages of the world, who help select the correct products or suggest a solution ensuring the correct operation of the equipment.

  3. Give a second life to the used-up products - this is the goal the Green Cell brand has been devoted to ever since the very beginning. Its offer includes e.g. batteries which can be installed in a device instead of the worn-out accumulators. And what is the result? In 2020 alone, the Green Cell customers all over the world saved as many as 296,994 laptops from being thrown out!

  4. Fix - The North.pl Initiative under the phrase "Fix, do not throw away", is especially close to Green Cell's vision, as it encourages the users to replace the damaged components. Sometimes, a new battery, or any other component, is enough to give your device a second youth. If you do not feel like an expert in a given topic, ask a professional service for help - the higher the quality of the repair, the longer the life of your device.

  5. Recycle - Green Cell encourages its customers to replace disposable batteries with rechargeable accumulators. You can leave the used-up batteries at the brand's brick and mortar stores, and the producer will handle taking them for recycling. Such a suggestion is a double benefit - the customers get rid of their electro-waste, and simultaneously buy a fresh source of energy, which will last them longer than a regular battery.
