Another Green Cell warehouse abroad was opened in Peterborough. With it, customers in England will receive their orders in less than 24 hours.
Interest in our accessories in the UK is rapidly growing - just a few months after the start of sales, the number of orders exceeded 2K per month. This has prompted the decision to open a warehouse located in the industrial part of Peterborough.
Now deliveries in England take less than 24 hours whereas shipments arrive in Northern Ireland, South Ireland, Scotland and Wales within 48 hours.
- Brexit interrupted our presence in the UK, but we came back because we want to be close to our customers. In February, we restarted sales - and today, the time has come for our own warehouse. With it, orders are processed several times faster. Ultimately, we would like to deliver our products to all European countries within 24 hours - assures Paweł Ochyński, CEO of Green Cell.
We will charge the EV market
The UK is one of the most important markets for us. Currently, it sees a dynamic increase in sales of electric cars - 32,000 vehicles were registered in September alone. The record popularity of EVs is a great opportunity for our brand, especially since we are preparing for the premiere of an innovative mobile charger. Apart from that charger, the we also offer a 22 kW wallbox and Type 2 cables.
Our data shows that UK customers are also interested in batteries and power adapters for laptops, converters and Green Cell e-bike batteries. The wide offer and our own warehouse make it easier to establish business cooperation with UK partners and develop sales in e-commerce channels.
- The first shipments have already left the new warehouse. We are ready for a rapid increase in the number of UK orders and are gradually filling the racks made available to us. We have prepared everything, so that customers can immediately enjoy their orders - says Marek Wiśniowski, Warehouse & Shipping Manager at Green Cell.
The Peterborough warehouse is the second shipping point opened abroad - the first is in Lisses near Paris and began operation in May. It handles orders from France and the Benelux countries. We also have its own logistics centres near Krakow and Görlitz, which carry out shipments to customers in Germany.
